Q:    How do I login to UMIA Online Education?
A:    Please follow these instructions:
  • Visit www.umiaonlineeducation.com.
  • As a first-time user, enter your last name, policy number, birth date, and email address. (e.g. Doe, UT12345, 1/1/45, jdoe@gmail.com). Your policy number is located on your UMIA policy Declaration Sheet.
  • Your last name, policy number, and birth date must match the information you provided on your policy. You must also provide a valid email address.
  • An email containing your password will be sent to the email address you provide.
  • Once you have your password, return to www.umiaonlineeducation.com and login as a Returning User by entering the email address you provided and the password you received in the email from UMIA.

  • Login as a Returning User by entering the email address you entered when you signed in as a new user, and the password you received from UMIA when you registered as a new user.

A:    Click on "Edit My Profile Info." Enter your new password. To update your specialty, state, or name, contact UMIA at 800-748-4380.

Q:    How do I determine how many credits I've earned?
A:    Please follow these instructions:
  • After you log in, click on "Take A Course/Earn Credit."
  • This page shows the courses you have completed as well as the courses you still need to complete in order to earn a risk management discount.
  • To view credits earned in a previous discount period, click on "My Profile" and then "View Archived Credits."

Q:    How do I earn CME credits?
A:    Please follow these instructions:
  • Click on "Take A Course/Earn Credit."
  • This page shows the courses you have completed as well as the courses you still need to complete in order to earn a risk management discount.
  • Click "View" under "Course Info" to learn about a particular course.
  • Where available, click on "View Now" in the "Status" column to view a presentation.
  • You must complete the presentations in order. Courses marked "Pending" will be available for viewing after you complete the preceding course.

Q:    How do I get my CME certificate?
A:    Please follow these instructions:
  • Log in.
  • Click on "My Profile." Scroll down to view "Current Courses Qualifying for a Future the Risk Management Discount Term."
  • This area lists all the courses you have successfully completed.
  • Under "Certificate" click "download" to download and print your CME certificate.

Q:    How do I earn a risk management discount?
A:    To earn a risk management discount you must complete and pass (80% or higher) all the courses in your curriculum (determined by your specialty and risk class), as well as the course evaluations. Once all courses and evaluations are complete, your will earn a risk management discount. Completed courses and your risk management discount (once earned) will appear on your "My Profile" page. PLEASE NOTE: Risk management discounts will be applied in the billing period following the completion of all risk management courses.
